USES / FEATURES of the manual hydraulic swing lip.

• Use when no electricity is available
• Use when there is no shelter or the  pit is exposed to excessive rain
• Use if usage is low - if usage is to be high it would be better to use an electronically powered unit.

Disadvantages

1. Labour intensive
2. Hydraulics can leak when seals are damaged by improper use
3. Swing lip can damage goods loaded to back of vehicle if parking is not accurate.

 Electro Hydraulic swing lip.

1. Needs single phase electricity
2. Simple one button operating system protects against seal damage from improper use
3. Swing lip can damage goods loaded to back of vehicle if parking is not accurate.

USES / FEATURES 

• Single phase electricity is needed
• Robust lip mechanism has override protection
• Not using hydraulics can be a plus where hydraulic oil can cause contamination i.e. in the food industry.
• Service intervals are longer than other systems
• Running costs are less that most hydraulic equivalents
• Swing lip can damage goods loaded to back of vehicle if parking is not accurate

USES / FEATURES

1. Three phase electricity is preferred –single phase can be used if necessary.
2. The lip is infinitely adjustable within the available range so that goods loaded to the rear of the vehicle are NOT damaged.
3. Lip damage is unheard of.
4. Operation is simple and efficient.

DISADVANTAGES

1. Initial cost can be higher.
2. Hydraulics may be unwelcome in certain instances.

Docklevellers can be supplied in raised Base Frames for the following situations

1. For retro fit where a pit is not desirable
2. Where there is no room for a pit in the warehouse
3. Where the premises are rented
4. Where the unit needs to be moved at a future date

Docklevellers can be tailor made to customer requirements to overcome many of the problems associated with :

1. Dock height is too low ( usually below 1350mm )
2. Available Dock length is too short

This unit allows the fifth wheel coupling to be reversed UNDER the dockleveller to allow normal loading / unloading of the vehicle.
